Laser densitometers, Storage Phosphor Imagers and Fluorescence Imagers

This company manufactures complete storage phosphor imaging systems. The Phosphor ImagerŪ system is reported sensitive to 14C, 3H, 125I, 131I, 32P, 33P, 35S and other radioisotopes. Image plate spatial resolution is reported to cope with closely-spaced bands (as in DNA sequencing els). Exposure times are one-tenth conventional x-ray film. Applications include:The company's Storm product scans storage phosphor screens, fluorescent gels and chemifluorescent blots (image area 35 x 43 cm).
Their FluorImager system is a multi-purpose fluorescent sample reader for one-and two-color analysis of gels, blots, TLC and microplates. Samples are read directly, with no drying or exposure step required. Phoretix software provides a much more powerful and accurate analysis system than the software that is currently supplied with the Molecular Dynamics equipment

 * Gel analysis software When examining software systems it is important to consider your present and also future analytical needs and insist on high quality, supported software. Some companies offer sofware from more than one supplier. Check the options available and choose the system which is best suited to your present and likely future needs.
